Sukkot, Sukkot, Sukkot! (Or as some people say, "suckas.") Now that you've been written in the Book of Life, relax and enjoy some good food and happy company in a three-and-a-half-sided tent!  Sukkot honors the wandering of the ancient Israelites after they escaped Egypt. For 40 years they slept in semi-permanent tents, and the old rabbis said if they could do it for 40 years, dammit, we can do it for a week! Of course few of us sleep in our sukkot.
